Hi! I’m from Manchester, UK. I’ve been into modelling for about 4 years now, although mostly on and off when I have some free time. I started with a few simple paper and cardboard models, then gradually got interested in buildings and city layouts.
I definitely wouldn’t call myself an expert though :) I still manage to glue the wrong tab occasionally.

Hello! I'm from Mexico. I discovered papercraft years ago while trying to make scenery for 1:87 and 1:72 miniatures. However those buildings were too flat and decides to make them with cardoboard instead.
I found citibuider a couple months ago. The varitety of structures is interesting, and bu resizing the print i can match the buildings with my 1/700 plastic builds: mostly ships and aircraft.
Nice to meet you! It's great to have you with us too! :) Let's keep building and creating awesome things together!
You're doing an amazing job! You've really shown how the city can be used from a completely different perspective! That's so cool! :))

Hi! I'm from Rotterdam, Netherlands. I'm 28, and I've been interested in city-building games for as long as I can remember. SimCity was probably where it all started for me :)
As for actual modelling, I'm still relatively new to it. I started experimenting with paper models about two years ago, mostly small buildings and a few architectural projects.
What I enjoy most is figuring out how everything fits together. I can spend an hour deciding where to place three buildings, which is probably a bit ridiculous, but that's half the fun for me!
City-Builder caught my attention because it combines two things I really like — physical models and urban planning. I'm definitely more of a city planner than an experienced paper modeller, though. Still learning how to make clean folds!

Hi, I'm Ian, I'm 65 and live in Northampton in the UK. I've loved paper and card since I was a child. Lots of different paper models over the years and lots of origami too. I did enjoy the original Sim City on the computer years back but lost interest as it changed over time. I spend much of my time looking down microscopes (as a hobby rather than work) so I do take pleasure in small things. I look at diatoms and similar small things - if a 50 micron diatom was at 1:600 scale the original would be 300mm across. I find that quite interesting, comparing the 1:600 of the city to my microscopical interest. Making a paper and thin card city is a nice relaxing thing to do in an evening. I have started looking forward to the 25th of the month - release day for a new set of models :-)
What an interesting job you have! That's awesome!
And thank you for your feedback about the 25th! Today is actually the 25th, but unfortunately, the release has been postponed until next month (you can read more about it in the news) because we're having serious power supply issues here.
In any case, the 25th of next month should bring not just one magazine, but, if everything goes well, seven magazines at once! Each one will feature a different city style, though.
We'll see how it goes!
Either way, we're really happy to have you here!

I am from Milwaukee Wisconsin in the US. I tried my hand at paper modeling almost 2 year ago and then moved on. I rediscovered it last November when I built a small medieval village for a Christmas decoration at work. I tried to make it a department project but didn't get much interest so I kept doing models on my own. Now I build a variety of models and donate them to the local library for display.
Nice to meet you! That's awesome! I'd love to see your papercraft creations!

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that and hope Ukraine can prevail over the invaders soon. Having to wait a little while for some paper models is no hardship. Having no power is a hardship and, of course, there are people in Ukraine suffering much worse hardships. I send you all my best wishes, I've joined your patreon, I look forward to more models when they are ready but, as I say, a wait is no hardship.Best wishes
Thank you so much for your kind words! Yes, I’d be lying if I said it was easy! :) But I promise I’ll surprise you with new buildings and city styles! Even what I’ve managed to create so far looks really cool. I might share a short video on Instagram soon. Thanks again!
