Actually, your idea is not new. Around 10 people have already contacted me with similar proposals, and three of them even tried to do it. One was in Indonesia, another in Brazil, and the third in Taiwan. However, after a few months, they stopped doing it.
The problem is that these buildings are very small. Children cannot assemble them. Teenagers are generally not very interested in them either, so the main audience is mostly adults.
It is interesting and looks fun, but if there were truly huge demand for these models, I would have tons of sales on Etsy. And those three partners would also have been able to sell the magazines without any problems.
You might think that they deceived me and are still selling the magazines on their own. In reality, their sales were so poor that they themselves asked me what they could do to start selling the magazines successfully...
So yes, the little buildings are beautiful and everything looks really cool, but in reality, very few people actually need this kind of model. Children and teenagers are more interested in larger buildings that they can use, for example, to play with toy cars. And even not every adult can assemble models this small. So I sincerely doubt that this project will work well for you.
There are people who are interested in model railways, children who play with toy cars, and teenagers who could build houses for school projects. But for all of these purposes, larger models are needed, not tiny buildings at a 1:600 scale.
That is why I am currently also trying to create buildings at a 1:87 scale. However, there are already a lot of models like this on the market, so I do not know how successful this project will be.
In any case, this is not my main source of income. It is simply a hobby. I like your enthusiasm and your desire to work with this idea, but I no longer really believe that it can become something big, because the buildings are genuinely very small and designed for a very limited audience.
