Lately I’ve been spending more time building than playing anything.
I’m slowly working through a few paper models that have been sitting unfinished for far too long. Nothing particularly impressive — mostly buildings and a couple of older architectural kits. I have a bad habit of starting something new before finishing the previous one, so I’m trying to clear the backlog before adding more models to it.
I’ve also been experimenting a bit with different paper weights. For years I tended to use the same paper for almost everything, but lately I’ve been mixing heavier paper for larger walls with thinner paper for small details. It sounds obvious, but it can make some models much nicer to assemble.
As for games, I still occasionally return to city builders and transport games. I’m one of those people who can spend an hour reorganizing roads or railway lines and then realize I haven’t actually progressed in the game at all.
And of course I’ve got some City-Builder buildings waiting to be assembled too. My cutting mat is currently more crowded than my actual city. :)
